Printers are expensive, i know many of you reading this are either rolling your eyes or nodding in agreeance. When you purchase a printer the ink cartridge that it comes with is not full. They are usually filled half way.
So if you are anything like me, you get your printer set it all up. Kind of going overboard with some printing at first and then you find that you are already low on ink in matter of days. You shake your fist and think wow i didn't really get much.
Then when you go look at the Manufactures website for a refill or even in store you find out that the color cartridge alone is more then or close to what you paid for the printer. WHAT!?!?
I find this creates a problem, you can wait and just buy a new printer, or you can dish out money for that expensive ink. I have to admit that i would just buy a new printer, usually gifting my old one to someone who is willing to pay those high prices.
Recently i had a printer gifted to me, its a Cannon Pixma 3520.
If you read my previous posts, i have been working with 123INKCARTRIDGES.
I was skeptical about using re manufactured ink. i had read so many bad reviews on amazon (when i was looking for another model printer) One of the main complaints is that the printer doesn't read the cartridge.
After voicing my opinions to 123INK they had mentioned this
"Usually we do receive complains, however, up to 75% of it the problem could be fixed manually, sometimes customers did not remove the plastic plug, sometimes clients order the wrong model, but most of the case we managed to taking care of it, and if we don't then we will return as full refund that is not a problem."
I love this company so much!!
They sent me

Right away i got into the Re-Manufactures cartridge as i already used to OEM one that came with the printer, i have to say i'm impressed as i was inserting it i have to admit i had doubts, i snapped it in and was ready to go, everything was working fine. I would recommend that people choose this option first before going to the OEM products. Not only will it save you money but its worth it.

I've bought remanufactured pieces from 123INKCARTRIDGES. Worked great!
ReplyDeletewe go thru so much ink I will have to look into this service. IT has to be a better deal than buying off the shelf
ReplyDeleteI could use this too. We use a lot of ink and it's so expensive. It sounds like they have great customer service too.

Refilled ink cartridges were so popular in the past that printer manufacturers added a chip recognition system to their printers that read a chip on the cartridge. The chip tells the printer when the cartridge is empty. Often, when users refill their cartridges, they don't realize that they need to flash the chip (reset it to tell the printer that it's full). That's where the complaints stem from - you can't flash a chip without the equipment to do so (it isn't a question of software but hardware).
ReplyDeleteI've had my cartridges refilled, but haven't tried purchasing them this way. It sounds like something I need to do.
ReplyDeleteI've always wondered about these so now I will probably buy them instead of brand new ones, thanks!
ReplyDeleteI've wondered about it. Happy to hear you found a place you like!
ReplyDeleteI've tried remanufactured ink before and it wonked out my printer. I should try again
ReplyDeleteI always forget about the remanufactured ink options. Thanks for sharing. I will try that again.
ReplyDeleteI love your graphic. I often want to do that to my printer when it decides not to work!
ReplyDeleteI to have a printer that the ink, which one color goes you have to buy all new ones, cost is outrages. Great information and thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeletei dont really know anything about this since my husband is the one doing all the printer stuff though its nice knowing about this company!
ReplyDeleteI might have to tell my husband to get this for us! I hate spending all that money on ink! It is ridiculous!
ReplyDeleteWe have toner, but on our previous printer we always used re-manufactured ink cartridges or filled it ourselves. We saved a small fortune.
ReplyDeleteyes it's true that inks are expensive. we have so many ink dealers here in our country. you can see them in the malls or in the neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea. It's a great way to re-use and save money.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great option! Such a great idea!
